About Us

Our journey began with a deep and personal commitment to enhancing the well-being of those we love most - our family.

Our Inspiration

We are fueled by a shared experience: witnessing our own parents struggle with the effects of aging on their muscles and joints.

Despite leading active lives, modern-day living, commuting, and working took a toll on their bodies. Unchecked, small aches led to daily back pain and slight discomfort turned to damaged shoulder and knee joints. Seeing their frustration, physical pain, and emotional pain is the driving force behind Train55.

Our Mission

We believe there is a better path. We know that enabling freedom of movement and strengthening muscles around joints can relieve a significant amount of pain and prevent future injuries. We envision a world where everyone can live life to the fullest, free from the constraints of aging muscles and joints. We founded Train55 to bring this vision to life.

Our mission is to empower individuals with the knowledge and support they need to unlock a pain-free, vibrant future.

Meet Mia and Alan

Mia Kanzawa is a co-founder and Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine physician. She is also a competitive Ultimate Frisbee player and previously a competitive dancer. Mia is a graduate of Johns Hopkins, Stanford Medical School, and UC Berkeley.

Alan Chan is a co-founder with a background in finance and management. He was a collegiate rower, triathlete, and now an avid CrossFitter. He has attended the CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Endurance seminars. He is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and UC Berkeley.
